Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land, described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori Reservation for the purpose of a cemetery for the common use and benefit of the Faulkner Hapu and to be known as the Okahu urupa.

Declaration That Land is a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Tauranga County Council on the 20th day of July 1981:

That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Tauranga County Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the said Council in fee simple and, described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby, declared to be a reserve for recreation purposes within the meaning of the said Act.

Change of Name of a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands of the Department of Lands and Survey hereby declares that the reserve for scenic purposes, described in the Schedule hereto, and known as the Koromatua Scenic Reserve, shall hereafter be known as the Barrett Bush Scenic Reserve.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for recreation purposes over the land, described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be leased or sold by the Putaruru Borough Council on such terms and conditions as the Council shall determine, the proceeds from any such leasing or sale to be paid into the council’s Reserves Account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

Revocation of Previous Notice and Issue of a Fresh Notice

PURSUANT to section 6 (3) of the Reserves Act 1977, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands, acting under delegation from the Minister of Lands, hereby revokes the notice as to the change of classification of parts of a reserve which was published in the New Zealand Gazette of 10 December 1981, No. 146, page 3732, in relation to the reserve contained in the Schedule thereto and hereby issues the following notice as a fresh notice in place thereof:

CHANGE OF CLASSIFICATION OF PARTS OF A RESERVE

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby changes the classification of those parts of the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, from a reserve for recreation purposes to reserves for the purposes specified at the end of the respective description of the said lands, subject to the provisions of the said Act.
