Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of the preservation and benefit of the Maori people who descend from the Rarawa and Ngati Kahu hapus.

Maori Land Development Notice

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori Land Board hereby gives notice as follows:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Hamilton 1982, No. 21.

  2. The notices referred to in the First Schedule hereto are hereby revoked by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The lands described in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

PURSUANT to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education and the proprietor of the following school.

St. Joseph’s School, Miranda Street, Stratford.

The said supplementary integration agreement came into effect on 19 October 1982. Copies of the supplementary integration agreement are available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the Department of Education, Head Office, Government Buildings, Lambton Quay, Wellington and at regional offices.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Marlborough Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Marlborough Licensing Committee on 21 October 1982 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the D.B. Barrys Hotel, Blenheim.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

For the period 1 April to 31 August in any year.

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday—Opening at 10 o’clock in the morning and closing at 9 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday and Saturday—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening. For the period 1 September in any year to 31 March in the next year.

(c) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(d) On any Friday and Saturday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(e) On any Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(f) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Years’ Day.
