Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Chartered Club—Auckland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, on 8 October 1982, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the Chartered Club known as the Churchill Club Glendowie Incorporated.

To the intent that on days other than those on which Chartered Clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to its members the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve)—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 10 o'clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday and Saturday (not being New Year's Eve and on Christmas Eve)—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 11 o'clock in the evening.

(c) On any New Year's Eve—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o'clock on the morning of New Year's Day.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 7648 UPVC pipe and fittings for pressure applications. $7.

This draft Standard specifies unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (UPVC) pipe and solvent-welded and mechanically jointed fittings in nominal bore sizes up to 575 mm for use with fluids (including cold water) under pressure. Five pressure classes of pipe and 3 pressure classes of fittings are specified.

The draft is in 4 parts (bound together): Part 1: UPVC pipe; Part 2: Injection moulded UPVC fittings for pressure applications; Part 3: Post-formed UPVC bends and couplers; Part 4: Mechanical joints for UPVC pressure pipe and fittings.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the price shown, from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

NOTE—Payment must accompany all requests for drafts. The closing date for receipt of comment is 25 February 1983.
