SECOND SCHEDULE
No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton)—Commencing at No. 1 State Highway at Washdyke and proceeding thence to Milton via Pleasant Point, Cave, Albury, Fairlie, Kimbell, Burkes Township, Lake Tekapo, Irishmans Creek, Fukaki, Ruataniwha Dam, Omarama, Lindis Pass and Tarras to the junction of No. 6 State Highway at Lowburn; recommencing approximately 4.8 km south of Lowburn at No. 6 State Highway, and proceeding thence via Cromwell, Clyde, Alexandra, Roxburgh, Millers Flat, Racs Junction, Lawrence and Waitahuna and terminating at its junction with No. 1 State Highway at Clarkesville, approximately 3.2 km south of Milton.

Revoking Declaration of State Highway and Declaring Public Highway to be State Highway
PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of the Minister of Works and Development, gives notice that the State highway described in the First Schedule hereto is revoked, and that the public highway described in the Second Schedule hereto is declared to be a State highway; within the meaning and for the purposes of the National Roads Act.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that section of State Highway No. 67 in Westport as described in Part II of the Schedule to the notice declaring public highways to be State highways published in the Gazette, 24 March 1980, No. 20, page 384.
SECOND SCHEDULE
WESTPORT—No. 67 State Highway. From the eastern end of the Buller River bridge and proceeding in a generally easterly and northerly direction over the railway level crossing to the intersection of Bentham and Palmerston Streets, and thence via Palmerston Street and Brougham Street to its intersection with Domett Street.

925.3561 hectares, more or less, being Sections 2, 4 and 7, Block XVI, Hikurangi Survey District. All certificates of title, Volume 1A, folios 1225, 1226 and Volume 2C folio 605, as shown on plan Y16/4, 5, 6 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington. Oxford Recreational Hunting Area
PURSUANT to section 27 of the Wild Animal Control Act 1977, the Director-General of Forests hereby gives notice that an area of approximately 21,400 hectares, being all of Oxford State Forest and part of Mount Thomas State Forest as shown on plan L34/8 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and with the Conservator of Forests at Christchurch, shall form a recreational hunting area where the hunting of red deer, chamois and pigs as a means of recreation shall be used to control (though not exclusively) the number of those animals.
The area shall be known as the Oxford Recreational Hunting Area.
NOTES
-
No commercial hunting is allowed, except for the taking of possums under Forest Service permit, or on the direction of the Conservator of Forests.

The greatest care must be exercised at all times with fires. Fires shall be permitted only in huts, camps, or fireplaces provided or built expressly for that purpose. All fires must be in safe places and properly extinguished before being left.
Only dead wood should be used for fuel. Any person responsible for fires getting out of control may be held liable for damage caused and for expenses incurred in firefighting in addition to any fines imposed.
The extent and location of any wild fire is to be reported immediately to a forest officer. In a time of high fire risk as determined by the Conservator of Forests, the area under exotic management in Oxford State Forest may be unconditionally closed as Recreational Hunting Area.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation
PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a burial ground for the common use and benefit of Ngati Te Waha and the other hapu of Ngati Maniapoto who own or have in the past owned land in the Rakaunui District.
