Declaring Land in a Roadway Laid Out in Block IV, Horohoro Survey District, Rotorua District, to be Road

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 421 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, The Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto and comprised in a roadway laid out by the Maori Land Court by an order dated 14 January 1911, to be road, and to be vested in The Rotorua District Council.

SCHEDULE

South Auckland Land District

All that piece of land containing 6366 square metres, situated in Block IV, Horohoro Survey District, being part Waiwhero-whero roadway; as shown marked "A" on M.L. Plan 21372, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Hamilton.

State Forest Land Set Apart as State Forest Park for Addition to Kaimanawa State Forest Park—Wellington Conservancy

PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 63B (1) of the Forest Act 1949 (as substituted by section 19 of the Forests Amendment Act 1976), I, The Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the State forest land described in the Schedule hereto as State forest park which shall hereby form part of the Kaimanawa State Forest Park.

SCHEDULE

Wellington Land District—Taupo County

157.9440 hectares, more or less, being Section 1 and 2, Block II, Waiotaka Survey District. Part New Zealand Gazette, 1939, page 3529, as shown on plan T19/7, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington. (S.O. Plan 33327).

Extending the Time Within Which Committee of Inquiry into Procedures at Oakley Hospital and Other Related Matters May Report

To all to whom these presents shall come, and to:

RODNEY GERALD GALLEN, LL.B. of Napier, One of Her Majesty's Counsel Learned in the Law;

RITA McEWAN, M.B.E., R.COMP.N., DIP.N.(S.A.N.S.) of Parernata, retired principal nurse; and

BRIAN JOSEPH SHEA, O.B.E., MB BS Adel, DPM Melb, FRANZCP, FACMA, FRC PSYCH, FHA, FAIM, Director of Mental Health, South Australian Health Commission:

Whereas, by Warrant dated the 2nd day of August 1982*, I appointed you, the said Rodney Gerald Gallen, Rita McEwan, and Brian Joseph Shea, to be a Committee of Inquiry to inquire into procedures at Oakley Hospital and other related matters:

And whereas by the said Warrant you were required to report not later than the 1st day of November 1982 your findings and opinions on the matters aforesaid:

And whereas it is expedient that the time for so reporting should be extended as hereinafter provided:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 13 (3) of the Hospitals Act 1957, I, ANTHONY GEORGE MALCOLM, Minister of Health, hereby extend until the 31st day of December 1982 the time within which you are so required to report without prejudice to the continuation of the liberty conferred upon you by the said Warrant to report your proceedings and findings from time to time if you should judge it expedient to do so, and hereby confirm the said Warrant dated the 2nd day of August 1982 and the Committee thereby constituted, save as modified by these presents.

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations, and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

The appointment of Commander A. J. L. Tyrrell is extended to 21 January 1986.

Commander L. A. W. Urquhart to be temp. Captain with effect from 20 August 1982 and his appointment is extended to 30 July 1983.

The appointment of Surgeon Commander (acting Surgeon Captain) A. G. Stark, M.B., B.S.(LOND.), D.OST.R.C.O.G., D.P.H.; D.I.H.; R.C.P.(LOND.) and R.C.S.(ENG.), M.R.C.G.P., is extended to 10 December 1985.

Lieutenant Commander G. J. Bourke, M.B.E., to be acting Commander with effect from 18 August 1982 and temp. Commander with effect from 20 August 1982.

The appointment of Lieutenant Commander J. W. Jennings, M.B.E., is extended to 13 August 1984.

Lieutenant Commander C. F. Bryant to be acting Commander with effect from 16 August 1982.

The appointment of Lieutenant Commander R. J. Martin, V.R.D., M.A., is extended to 25 August 1989.

The appointment of Lieutenant Commander K. C. Body is extended to 21 October 1988.

Chaplain Peter Francis Kay is placed on the Emergency List of the RNZN until 31 July 1986, with effect from 1 August 1982.

The appointments of the following Lieutenant Commanders are extended to the date shown:

T. J. E. Marsh, 23 May 1987.

P. T. Murphy, 27 October 1993.
