Classification of Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby declares the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, to be classified as a reserve for scenic purposes, subject to the provisions of section 19 (1) (a) of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT—CLIFTON AND TAUMARUNUI COUNTIES—KOTARE SCENIC RESERVE

450.1874 hectares, more or less, being Section 10, Block VI, and Sections 16 and 17 (formerly parts Section 5), and Section 6, Block X, Waro Survey District. All Gazette extract 253500 and part of the land in the Schedule to Section 18, Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Act 1941. S.O. Plans 7880, 2973, 10252.

This notice is issued in substitution for the notice dated 13 November 1979, and published in New Zealand Gazette, 29 November 1979, No. 112, page 3712, and that notice is hereby cancelled.

Change of Classification and Change of Name of the Tom Shand Nature Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby changes the classification of the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, from a reserve for nature purposes to a reserve for scientific purposes, subject to the provisions of the said Act, and further, declares that the said reserve, known as the Tom Shand Nature Reserve, shall hereafter be known as the Tom Shand Scientific Reserve.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT—MARLBOROUGH COUNTY

309.3428 hectares, more or less, being Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 4034, situated in Block XV, Orieri Survey District, Section 1, Block XV, Orieri Survey District, and all the area of foreshore of Maud Island lying between low water ordinary spring tides, and mean high water, adjoining Section 1, Block XV, Orieri Survey District. Part nature reserve, pursuant to section 16 (11) (c), Reserves Act 1977, and part reserve for nature purposes by all Gazette notice 95421. S.O. Plan 5575.

Transfer of Unformed Legal Road in Block I, Kaniere Survey District Westland County

PURSUANT to section 323 of the Local Government Act 1974, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby declares that the land, described in the Schedule hereto, has been transferred to the Crown by Westland County Council pursuant to the said Section 323, and on the publication of this notice the said land shall be deemed to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.
