State Forest Land Set Aside as State Forest Park for Addition to Kaweka State Forest Park—Wellington Conservancy

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 63B (1) of the Forests Act 1949 (as substituted by section 19 of the Forests Amendment Act 1976), I, The Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the State forest land described in the Schedule hereto as State forest park which shall hereby form part of the Kaweka State Forest Park.
SCHEDULE
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT—HAWKE’S BAY COUNTY
6,700 hectares, more or less, being part Block 130, Patoka Crown Grant District, situated in Block X, Kuripapango Survey District, All New Zealand Gazette, 1982, page 160, as shown on plan U20/3, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington. (S.O. Plan 8067.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand this 30th day of August 1982.

Declaring Land to be Crown Land

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 16th day of August 1982.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. D. MCINTYRE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by deed of grant, dated the 16th day of April 1869, the land described in the Schedule hereto, was granted to the superintendent of the Province of Otago under the Public Reserves Acts 1854 and 1862, in trust for the establishment and maintenance of a university in the City of Dunedin in the Province of Otago, and of public schools in different parts of the Province and for the more general advancement of education in the said Province.
And whereas by section 9 of the Abolition of Provinces Act 1875, the said land was vested in Her Majesty the Queen, in trust for the aforesaid purposes
And whereas the said land, is not required for the purposes for which it is held
Now therefore pursuant to section 15 (5) of the Education Lands Act 1949, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the date hereof, be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same.
