Commerce Act 1975

Notice is hereby given of decision No. 60 of the Commerce Commission dated 18 December 1981. This relates to an appeal lodged with the Commission by the New Zealand Federation of Milk Stations Incorporated against the decision of the Secretary of Trade and Industry in respect of Price Orders Nos. 212 and 213 relating to cream and milk treatment allowances. By this decision the Commission resolved as follows:

(1) That the Federation's appeal that—
(a) Land and buildings be included at the higher of cost or Government valuation be declined.
(b) Investments be included in accordance with the Commission's Decision No. 8 be upheld.
(c) The increases in the allowances approved be backdated to 1 April 1981 be upheld.
(2) To issue a price order under section 101 (4) of the Act to give effect to the above decisions and instructs the Secretary of Trade and Industry and the New Zealand Federation of Milk Stations Incorporated to confer with the Commission on a date to be set.
