Meat Industry Authority (Notice No. 28—Mia 3/8/1)

Pursuant to section 3 (4) of Meat Amendment Act 1980, notice is hereby given that the Westland County Council has been granted an exemption, for that part of the County Scheduled below, from the provisions of section 6 of the Meat Act 1964, requiring the county to be an inspected meat area.

SCHEDULE

That area of Westland County between the Tasman Sea and the Southern Alps, bounded in the north by the Taramakau River and in the south by the Arahura River.

Pork Marketing Board—Basic Minimum Price for Pigs Notice No. 16, 1981

Pursuant to regulation 13 of the Pork Marketing Board Regulations 1973, and regulation 5 of the Pork Marketing Board Regulations 1976, Amendment No. 2, the Pork Marketing Board hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Basic Minimum Price for Pigs Notice No. 16, 1981.

  2. This notice shall be operable from the 10th day of August 1981.

  3. This notice fixes the basic minimum prices for pigs, as specified in the following Schedule, delivered to export pig slaughter-houses.

Exemption of Certain Motor Vehicles from the Height Restrictions for Front Direction Indicators and Forward-Facing Side Lamps

Pursuant to subclause (1) of regulation 90 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts motor vehicles of the type specified in the Schedule hereto from the requirements of subclause 3 (a) of regulation 59 and subclause 2 (a) of regulation 63 of the said regulations, in respect of the maximum height of 1.5 metres that the forward-facing side lamp and front direction-indicator may be mounted above the ground.

SCHEDULE

Any Nissan model CK11 series commercial vehicle, whenever first registered.

Fruit Fly Emergency Notice (Notice No. 2654, Ag. 12/2/14)

Pursuant to section 6 of the Plants Act 1970, the Director-General hereby restricts as follows the introduction into New Zealand of all fruit, except unripe pineapples, from any State in the United States of America (particularly California) where the Director-General is satisfied that Mediterranean fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata) occurs.

  1. All fruit, except unripe pineapples, shall be subject to prior approval by permit to import issued by the officer-in-charge of the Plant Health Diagnostic Station at Levin.

  2. This notice hereby revokes the Notice Setting Out the Requirements for Importations of Fresh Fruit and Vegetables (Notice No. 2620, Ag. 12/2/14, New Zealand Gazette, No. 77, 2 July 1981, pages 1840 et seq) as it applies to importation of fruit from the United States of America.

Classification of Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby declares the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, to be classified as a reserve for scenic purposes subject to section 19 (1) (a) of the said Act.
