Privileges and Immunities of Representatives and Their Staff
Attending the Meeting of the ANZUS Council, June 1981

WHEREAS a meeting of the council established under the Security Treaty between Australia, New Zealand and the United States of America is to be held in Wellington on 22 and 23 June 1981

And whereas it appears that doubts may arise as to the privileges and immunities which may be enjoyed by representatives and members of their official staffs attending the said meeting

Now therefore pursuant to section II of the Diplomatic Privileges and Immunities Act 1968, the Minister of Foreign Affairs hereby directs that every representative of the said Governments (other than the Government of New Zealand) and the members of their officials staffs attending the said meeting shall be accorded the following privileges and immunities:

(a) Every representative of the said Governments (other than the Government of New Zealand) shall be accorded the privileges and immunities conferred by or by virtue of Part I of the Diplomatic Privileges and Immunities Act 1968 on a diplomatic agent; and

(b) All the members of the official staff of any such representative shall be accorded the privileges and immunities conferred by or by virtue of Part I of the Diplomatic Privileges and Immunities Act 1968 on members of the diplomatic staff of a diplomatic mission.

Honey Marketing Authority Postponement of Elections—
Notice No. 2618, Ag. 4/54/19

PURSUANT to regulation 16 of the Honey Marketing Authority Regulations 1975, I hereby give notice that the 1981 election of producer representatives on the authority shall be deferred by 1 month and that the First Schedule of those regulations shall be read as if references to June and July were replaced by references to July and August respectively.

Poor Knights Islands Marine Reserve—Notice No. 2619,
Ag. 9/6/21/4

PURSUANT to section 3 (3) of the Marine Reserves Act 1971, notice is hereby given that the Marine Reserve (Poor Knights Islands) Order 1981 is amended by—

(a) Inserting in clause 4 (4) (a) after the word “kahawai” the words “pink maomao, barracouta”;

(b) Inserting in clause 4 (4) (b) after the word “kingfish” the words “pink maomao, barracouta”;

(c) Inserting in clause 4 the following subclause—

“(5) No person permitted under this clause to take fish in any area of the reserve not referred to in the Second Schedule to this order shall use a light of any description as a lure in fishing activities.”

This notice is given following consultations with the Poor Knight Islands Marine Reserve Management Committee.

Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 5) 1981

PURSUANT to regulation 17 of the Import Control Regulations 1973*, the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 5) 1981.

(b) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of July 1981.

  1. Goods of the class specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the tariff item in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

  2. The exemption from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the class set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, included in the exemption notice shown in the Second Schedule, is hereby withdrawn.

Golden Bay High School Board of Governors Notice 1981

PURSUANT to regulation 6 of the Education (Forms I to VII Schools) Regulations 1976, and section 51 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice shall be cited as the Golden Bay High School Board of Governors Notice 1981.

(b) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1981.

  1. There shall be a Board of Governors for Golden Bay High School which shall be constituted as follows:

(a) One member appointed by the Nelson Education Board;

(b) One member elected by the teachers of Golden Bay High School;

(c) Seven members elected by the parents of pupils attending the school;

(d) One member appointed by the Golden Bay High School Home and School Association;

(e) One member who may be co-opted by the Board of Governors if and when it thinks fit.

  1. The Nelson Education Board shall cease to control Golden Bay High School and the sole control of that school shall be vested in the Board of Governors constituted by clause 2 of this notice.
