Declaring Land in a Roadway Laid Out in Block X, Rotoiti Survey District, Rotorua District, to be Road

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 421 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, The Honourable Sir David Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto and comprised in a roadway laid out by the Maori Land Court by an order dated 15th day of September 1954, to be road.

ALL that piece of land containing 2392 square metres, situated in Block X, Rotoiti Survey District, Rotorua District, being Mourea Papakainga part 3E14E roadway; as shown on plan M.L. 17262, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Hamilton and thereon coloured red.

Amending a Proclamation Taking Land for Road in the Borough of Geraldine
DAVID BEATTIE, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 330A of the Public Works Act 1928, I, The Honourable Sir David Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby amend the Proclamation dated the 15th day of January 1981, published in New Zealand Gazette, No. 7, at page 155, taking land for road in the Borough of Geraldine pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, by omitting the Schedule, and substituting the following Schedule.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 533 square metres (21.1 perches), situated in Block V, Geraldine Survey District; being part Lot 15, D.P. 1023. As shown on plan S.O. 10573, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 30th day of April 1981.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, The Honourable Sir David Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Declaration dated the 6th day of April 1979, and published in the Gazette of 17 May 1979, No. 42, at page 1536, taking land for a place of public recreation or enjoyment, is hereby revoked.

The Manawatu Region Constitution Order 1981

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 21st day of April 1981
THE RIGHT HON. D. S. THOMSON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Act 1974, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:
ORDER
-
Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Manawatu Region Constitution Order 1981.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of May 1981, except in so far as it is necessary for the constituent authorities to proceed prior to that date with the appointment of the first members of the Council in terms of clause 6 of this order, and for matters incidental thereto. -
Manawatu Region—(1) There is hereby constituted a region to be called the Manawatu Region (hereinafter referred to as “the Region”).
(2) The constituent districts of the Region shall be the districts of:
(a) The County of Kiwitea;
(b) The County of Pohangina;
(c) The County of Oroua;
(d) The Borough of Feilding;
(e) The County of Manawatu;
(f) The Borough of Foxton;
(g) The County of Kairanga;
(h) The City of Palmerston North;
(i) The County of Dannevirke;
(j) The Borough of Dannevirke;
(k) The County of Woodville;
(l) The Borough of Woodville;
(m) The County of Pahiatua;
(n) The Borough of Pahiatua. -
Manawatu United Council—The council for the Region shall be a united council described as “The Manawatu United Council” (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”).

Membership of Council—The Council shall consist of 18 members of whom:
(a) One shall be appointed by the Kiwitea County Council;
(b) One shall be appointed by the Pohangina County Council;
(c) One shall be appointed by the Oroua County Council;
(d) One shall be appointed by the Feilding Borough Council;
(e) One shall be appointed by the Manawatu County Council;
(f) One shall be appointed by the Foxton Borough Council;
(g) One shall be appointed by the Kairanga County Council;
(h) Five shall be appointed by the Palmerston North City Council;
(i) One shall be appointed by the Dannevirke County Council;
(j) One shall be appointed by the Dannevirke Borough Council;
