O R D E R

  1. (a) This order may be cited as the Bruce Combined Hydatids Control District Order.
    (b) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  2. The areas comprising the Counties of Bruce, Milton, and Kaitangata, as from time to time constituted, are hereby declared to be united to form a hydatids control district to be called the Bruce Combined Hydatids Control District.

  3. The Bruce Combined Hydatids Control Authority is hereby appointed the hydatids control authority for the Bruce Combined Hydatids Control District.

  4. Revocationβ€”The Bruce-Taieri Hydatids Control District Order 1976 is hereby revoked.

THE RIGHT HON. D. MACINTYRE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a motorway.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that portion of State Highway No. 1 in the County of Franklin, commencing from the Drury Motorway Interchange and proceeding generally southwards for a distance of about 8 kilometres to approximately 400 metres north of the Great South Road - Saint Stephens Intersection, including the connections to and from Pratts Road and crossings under Ararimu Road and Pratts Road.

As shown on plan 1/90/29/3104/1, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works and Development at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Appointment of Chairman of the State Services Commission

PURSUANT to section 3 of the State Services Act 1962, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Dr Mervyn Charles Probine of Wellington,

to be a member and the chairman of the State Services Commission for a term of 5 years from 1 April 1981.

Appointment of Member to Agricultural Pests Destruction Council (No. 2573, Ag. 1/53/2/2)

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, I hereby appoint

Kenneth James Thomas, farmer of Morrinsville (on the nomination of the New Zealand Counties Association Incorporated)

to be a member of the Agricultural Pests Destruction Council for a term of 3 years, from 1 April 1981.
