WAITANGI DAY—6 FEBRUARY 1981

As Waitangi Day falls on Friday this year, the deadlines
for the Gazette of 4 February 1981 will be:
Notices from Government Departments must be received by
the Gazette Clerk, by 12 noon on Monday, 2 February 1981.
Advertisements will be accepted by the Government Printer
until noon on Tuesday, 3 February 1981.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday
evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be
received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the
day preceding publication.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 20c per line.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

On 8 August 1979 the Abbotsford landslip disaster occurred
involving the movement of 18 hectares of land and 69
houses. As the immediate shock receded many complaints
arising from the disaster were made. The outcome was the
appointment of a commission to inquire into the situation and
to report on the various matters comprised in the term of
reference.
