SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT
ALL those pieces of land situated in Blocks II and III, Waka-
puaka Survey District, Waimea County, described as follows:

Chief Surveyor at Nelson and thereon marked as above

Closed, Land Taken and Vested, and Land Taken in Blocks
VI and VII, Whakatane Survey District, Whakatane District
and Blocks VI and VII, Whakatane Survey District, Opotiki
County
PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act
1948, the Minister of Works and Development hereby pro-
claims as road, the land described in the First Schedule hereto,
which land shall vest in the Whakatane District Council, and
also hereby proclaims as road, the land described in the Second
Schedule hereto, which land shall vest in the Opotiki County
Council; and also hereby proclaims that the road described in the
Third Schedule hereto is hereby closed, and shall, when so
closed, vest as to the area of 3 acres 7 perches in John
Collier of Opotiki, farmer, and as to the area of 2 acres 1 rood
34.5 perches in Donal Morrison Reid of Taneatua, farmer, as
to a one-half share and Adrian Gunning Bird, chartered
accountant, and Robert Lane Chappell, solicitor, both of
Whakatane, jointly, as to a one-half share; and also hereby
proclaims that the road described in the Fourth Schedule
hereto is hereby closed, and shall, when so closed, vest as to
the areas of 8.9 perches, 1 acre 2 roods 35.5 perches, 19.6
perches and 1 acre 1 rood 8.2 perches in John Collier of
Opotiki, farmer; as to the areas of 1 acre 2 roods 21.3 perches,
1 rood 15 perches, 3.3 perches, 2 roods 3.5 perches, 1.2 perches,
1 rood 11.8 perches, 11 perches and 23.1 perches in Phillip
Charles Hindmarsh of Hicks Bay, farmer; as to the areas of
5.9 perches and 1 acre 16.4 perches in Donal Morrison
Reid of Taneatua, farmer, as to a one-half share and Adrian
Gunning Bird, chartered accountant and Robert Lane
Chappell, solicitor, both of Whakatane, jointly, as to a one-
half share; as to the area of 39 perches in Wattie Samuel
Armstrong his wife; as to the areas of 2.3 perches, 3 roods
29.5 perches, 3 acres 19.7 perches and 2 roods 7.6 perches in
Michael O’Dea of Kutare, farmer; and also hereby pro-
claims that the road described in the Fifth and Sixth Schedules
hereto is hereby closed; and also hereby takes the land
described in the Seventh Schedule hereto for the purposes of
subsection (6) of the said section 29 and hereby declares that
the said land shall, when so taken, vest as to the area of 2 acres 3 roods 20 perches in Donal Morrison Reid of Tanea-
tua, farmer, as to a one-half share and Adrian Gunning Bird,
chartered accountant and Robert Lane Chappell, solicitor, both
of Whakatane, jointly, as to a one-half share; as to the area
of 1 acre 9.6 perches in Phillip Charles Hindmarsh of Hicks
Bay, farmer; and also hereby takes the land described in the
Eighth Schedule hereto for the purposes of subsection (6) of
the said section 29 and hereby declares that the said land shall,
when so taken, vest as to the area of 2 roods 21 perches in
John Collier of Opotiki, farmer; as to the areas of 2 roods
2.7 perches and 31 perches, in Michael O’Dea of Kutare,
famer, and as to the area of 37.6 perches in Phillip Charles
Hindmarsh of Hicks Bay, farmer; and also hereby takes the
land described in the Ninth Schedule hereto for the purposes
of subsection (6) of the said section 29 which land shall vest
in the Whakatane District Council.
