PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

This order may be cited as the Waikia Rural Fire District Order 1954, Amendment No. 2, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the order constituting the Waikia Rural Fire District Order made on the 13th day of January 1954* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

This order shall come into force from the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

The principal order is hereby amended by adding the land described in the Schedule hereto to the Waikia Rural Fire District.

WHEREAS by Our Warrant, dated the 11th day of June 1980*, We nominated, constituted, and appointed you, the said The Honourable PETER THOMAS MAHON to be a Commission to inquire into and report upon the causes and circumstances of the crash, on the 28th day of November 1979, on the slopes of Mount Erebus, Antarctica, of a DC-10 aircraft operated by Air New Zealand Limited:
And whereas by Our said Warrant you were required to report to His Excellency the Governor-General, not later than the 31st day of October 1980, your findings and opinions on the matters aforesaid:
And whereas by Our Warrant, dated the 6th day of October 1980†, the time within which you were so required to report was extended until the 31st day of December 1980:
And whereas by Our Warrant, dated the 15th day of December 1980‡, the time within which you were so required to report was further extended until the 28th day of February 1981:
