OF HOME LAY-BY (PAHIATUA) LIMITED:
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up
of the above-named company by the High Court was on the
26th day of February 1981, presented to the said Court by
the COMMISSIONER OF INLAND REVENUE at Wellington; and
that the said petition is directed to be heard before the
Court sitting at Palmerston North, on the 1st day of April
1981, a 9.30 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or con-
tributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose
the making of an order on the said petition may appear at
the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that
purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished by the
undersigned to any creditor or contributory of the said com-
pany requiring a copy on payment of the regulated charge
for the same.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council
proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the con-
struction of a public road, for which purpose the land
described in the Schedule hereto requires to be taken by the
Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928.
A plan of the land required to be taken as aforesaid lies
open to public inspection at the office of the Council in
Bank Street, Te Awamutu.
Every person directly affected is hereby called upon to
set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to
the execution of such work or to the taking of such land,
not being an objection to the amount or payment of com-
pensation, and to send such written objection to the Planning
Tribunal, Wellington, within 40 days from the first publica-
tion of this notice. A public hearing of the objection will be
held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector
will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMISSION DETERMINATION
PURSUANT TO SECTION 133 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1974
SECTION 133 (2) of the Local Government Act 1974 provides
as follows: “All rates on rateable property in a constituent
district, whether made by the regional council or by the
constituent authority, shall be levied and recovered by the
regional council or by the constituent authority, as agreed
upon by the regional council and the constituent authority or,
in default of agreement within 6 months after the constitution
of the region, as determined by the Commission.”
The Wellington Region was constituted on 11 June 1980,
but the Council was not elected until 11 October 1980 and
