Railway Land Proclaimed as Road at Blenheim

PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby proclaims as road and vests in the Blenheim Borough Council the land described in the Schedule hereto.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT—BLENHEIM BOROUGH

Both those pieces of land described as follows:

Area

  1. Part Railway land, being part of the land comprised and described in Gazette, 1880, p. 212 and Gazette, 1920, p. 936, marked B on plan.

  2. Part Section 47, Wairau Registration District, being part of the land comprised and described in deeds index 2/103, marked C on plan.

Situated in Block XVI, Cloudy Bay Survey District.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 32112 (S.O. 5803), deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon marked as above mentioned.

Declaring Road Taken for Railway Purposes at Blenheim

PURSUANT to section 45 of the Government Railways Act 1949 and sections 32 and 216 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for railway purposes, on and after the 23rd day of March 1981.

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori Reservation for the purpose of a place of scenic interest for the common use and benefit of the people of New Zealand.

Maori Land Development Notice

WHEREAS by virtue of the notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto the land described in that notice was declared to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953; and whereas by reason of survey it is considered necessary to replace the notice aforesaid.

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori Land Board hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Rotorua 1981, No. 2.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.
