Pork Industry Council—Election of Producers Representative, Ward No. 2 (All Areas of the Waikato and King Country South to Pio Pio and Turangi, Taupo, Bay of Plenty, East Coast, and Gisborne)—Roll of Eligible Electors

Notice is given that a copy of the roll of pig producers eligible to vote in the forthcoming election for one producer member to represent Ward No. 2 on the Pork Industry Council, will be available for inspection at the following places:

(1) Head Office, Pork Industry Council, Level 14, Pastoral House, Wellington;

(2) Head Office, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Wellington;

(3) Mr P. Powlesland, Consultant, care of Pig Research Unit, Ruakura.

The rolls will be available for inspection from 1 March to 30 April 1981.

Notice is given that a copy of the roll of pig producers eligible to vote in the forthcoming election for one producer member to represent Ward No. 3 on the Pork Industry Council, will be available for inspection at the following places:

(1) Head Office, Pork Industry Council, Level 14, Pastoral House, Wellington;

(2) Head Office, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Wellington;

(3) District Office, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, New Plymouth;

(4) National Pig Breeding Centre, Old West Road, Tiritea.

The rolls will be available for inspection from 1 March to 30 April 1981.

Average Price for Apples and Pears for the 1980–1981 Season Declared

NOTICE is hereby given that the Apple and Pear Prices Authority has determined, pursuant to section 27 (1) of the Apple and Pear Marketing Act 1971 that:

  1. The average price for all apples purchased by the New Zealand Apple and Pear Marketing Board from growers during the 1980–81 season be 15.7988 cents per kilogram; and

  2. The average price for all pears purchased by the New Zealand Apple and Pear Marketing Board from growers during the 1980–81 season be 21.2560 cents per kilogram.

The authority also determined, pursuant to section 31A of the Act, that the industry levy on all apples and pears sold or exported for sale during the year ending 30 June 1982 be zero.

Consent to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities, mentioned in the Schedule hereto, of the whole or any part of the respective amount specified in that Schedule.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Wairarapa Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, John Fraser Robertson, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Wairarapa Licensing Committee on 23 January 1981, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Royal Tavern, Featherston.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public, the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday—Opening at 9 o’clock in the morning and closing at 8 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Thursday—Opening at 9 o’clock in the morning and closing at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. Then opening again at 4 o’clock in the afternoon and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On any Friday and Saturday—Opening at 9 o’clock in the morning and closing at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. Then opening again at 4 o’clock in the afternoon and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.
