  1. This form is to be used for all new varieties of loaves weighing not less than 225 grams.
  2. Notification is required within 7 days of the introduction of the new loaf.
  3. Notifications should be forwarded to the nearest office of the Department of Trade and Industry. Offices are located at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin.
  4. The indication by a baker of a resale price for his bread is subject to the resale price maintenance provisions of the Commerce Act 1975 (section 28). The effect of that provision is:
    (a) You may not indicate mandatory resale prices without the prior approval of the Commerce Commission to the issue of any such indication.
    (b) You may indicate resale prices if they are suggested prices only, with resellers free to charge other prices provided that the Commerce Commission is notified of the arrangement by which resale prices are suggested and each price list issued contains:
    (i) The full name of the wholesaler issuing the price list;
    (ii) In bold type on the first page of each price list a statement to the following effect:
    "Any resale price or margin or conditions of sale set out or indicated herein are suggestions only. Other prices may be charged, and other conditions of sale may be imposed, in relation to the goods to which the price or margin or conditions of sale relate, without the risk of the issuer of this notice or the supplier of the goods applying sanctions of any kind."
    (Approved forms for notifying the Commerce Commission of any arrangement under which resale prices are suggested may be obtained from the Commerce Commission or the office of the Examiner of Commercial Practices.)
