The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard
Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards
Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft
New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 5824 Protective footwear.

The revision of NZS 2245:1969 Safety footwear with pro-
tective toe-caps resulted in the preparation of two separate
standards, the first of which was published as NZS 5809 in
October 1980. The second standard, this draft, specifies re-
quirements for footwear with a lesser degree of protection
than footwear manufactured to NZS 5809.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and
who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the
price shown, from the Standards Association of New Zealand,
Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private
Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 29 May
1981.
