Quotas to growers be terminated on 31 August 1986.
The requirement that tobacco leaf grown for sale may only
be grown under licence be removed at the end of the transi-
tion period on 31 August 1986.
The district average prive for quota tobacco leaf continue
to be fixed by the Department of Trade and Industry up to
and including the 1982-83 crop and cease on 31 August
1983.
The Reserve Bank facility be phased-out over the transition
period as follows:

Price control on cigarettes and tobacco be removed on 1
July 1981.
Import licensing on cigarettes and manufactured tobacco
be liberalised to a free situation over the period 1 July 1983
to 30 June 1985.
Duties on tobacco leaf and cigarettes and manufactured to-
bacco be reviewed by the Industries Development Commis-
sion before 1 April 1981.
The Minister of Trade and Industry be invited to request
the Tobacco Board in consultation with manufacturers and
growers, to prepare an agreement in principle regarding
arrangements to be adopted during the transition period.
An adjustment assistance grant to growers of $7,000 per
qualifying licensed hectare given up.
Tobacco leaf and manufactured tobacco products will be
placed on the CER deferred list until the Industries Develop-
ment Commission has reviewed the duties on these goods, and
that thereafter a final decision will be made as to the appropri-
ate CER listing.
Exemption of Certain Motor Vehicles From the Requirements
Relating to Seat Belts
PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 90 of the Traffic
Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts
any Land Rover from the requirements to fit seat belts to
any folding side-facing rear seats, as specified in paragraph
(c) of subclause (1A) of regulation 78 (as inserted by regula-
tion 3 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, Amendment No. 2)
of the said regulations.

Bona Vacantia Disclaimed
IN the matter of section 338 of the Companies Act 1955, and
in the matter of the STAFFORD GOLD DREDGING CO.
LTD. a dissolved company:
NOTICE is hereby given as follows:

That on the 10th day of November 1980 it came to the
notice of the Secretary to the Treasury that the property of
The Stafford Gold Dredging Co. Ltd. as registered proprietor
of an estate in fee simple in all those parcels of land more
particularly described in the Schedule hereto, had vested in
the Crown as bona vacantia pursuant to section 337 of the
Companies Act 1955. -
That on the aforesaid date application was received by
the Secretary to the Treasury for the Crownβs title to the
said property to be disclaimed. -
That no such application as aforesaid was received by
the Secretary to the Treasury before the date aforesaid. -
That the Crownβs title to the said property is hereby dis-
claimed.
