PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired.

Amending an Order in Council Directing the Sale of Land in the City of Wellington

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 330A of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 18th day of May 1981 and published in Gazette, 28 May 1981, No. 67, at page 1502, directing the sale of land in the City of Wellington by omitting the Schedule thereof and substituting the following Schedule:

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 107 square metres, situated in Block VII, Port Nicholson Survey District and being part Lot 2, D.P. 16307; as shown on plan S.O. 32674, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington, and thereon marked “A”.

The Balmoral Irrigation Order 1981

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby makes the following order:
ORDER

This order may be cited as the Balmoral Irrigation Order 1981.

The Minister of Works and Development is hereby authorised to construct, maintain and control the water supply works described in the First Schedule hereto to serve the district described in the Second Schedule hereto.

The area of land described in the said Second Schedule is hereby constituted as an irrigation district, to be known as the Balmoral Irrigation District (herein referred to as “the district”).

It is hereby declared that the basic charge payable on all irrigable land within the said district shall be $22.50 on irrigable-hectare-a-year and the water availability charge which replaces the basic charge for each from when a farm development plan has been agreed upon shall be:
(a) For border-dyke irrigation—$50.00 per roster day.
(b) For spray irrigation—$45.00 a year for each litre per second continuous supply.
- Basis of allocation:
(a) For border-dyke irrigation 18 roster days per season will be sufficient for approximately 30 hectares of irrigable land.
(b) For spray irrigation 50 litres per second continuous supply will be sufficient for approximately 90 hectares of irrigable land.
