The Water Recreation (Paraparaumu Beach) Notice 1981—
Borough of Kapiti
I, Robin Paul Taylor, Senior Executive Officer (Harbours and Foreshores), pursuant to the Water Recreation Regulations 1979*, and in exercise of powers delegated to me pursuant to sections 8 and 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby give the following notice.
NOTICE
-
(a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Paraparaumu Beach) Notice 1981.
(b) This notice shall come into force 14 days after publication in the New Zealand Gazette and shall remain in force until revoked by further notice in the Gazette. -
Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 7 (1) a, 7 (1) b and 7 (2) of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979, shall not apply to the area as described in the First Schedule.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area of water at Paraparaumu Beach extending 200 metres in a westerly direction from the water's edge and bounded on the sides by parallel lines 100 metres apart, the southern boundary being a point 45 metres north of the southern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 26312, as more particularly shown marked “D” on plan M.D. 16095, deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington.
SECOND SCHEDULE
The reserved area shall be marked as follows:

Two 2.5 metre transit posts with a distance of not less than 3 metres or more than 9 metres between and painted yellow, shall be erected on the land in line with each side of the reserved area, the first post being sited near high water mark.

On each side of the transit posts sited near high water mark there shall be fastened in line with the sides of the reserved area, suitable notices setting out the extent of the exceptions as described in the First Schedule hereto.

The area described in the First Schedule shall be used only by persons so authorised by the Kapiti Borough Council.

Notwithstanding any other provision of this notice, no person who is permitted by any such provision to propel or navigate a small craft at a speed exceeding 5 knots shall do so in any manner that is likely to endanger or unduly annoy any person who is in, on, or using the water, or fishing or undertaking any recreational activity in the vicinity of the small craft.

All persons in charge of the vessel shall adhere to and keep the provisions of all other Acts and Regulations not specifically exempted by this notice.

I, Robin Paul Taylor, Senior Executive Officer (Harbours and Foreshores), pursuant to the Water Recreation Regulations 1979*, and in exercise of powers delegated to me pursuant to sections 8 and 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby give the following notice:
NOTICE

(a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Southland) Notice 1981.
(b) This notice shall come into force 14 days after publication in the New Zealand Gazette and shall remain in force until revoked by further notice in the Gazette. -
Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, vessels owned and operated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries shall be exempt from regulations 7 (1) (a) and (b) and 7 (2) of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979 in the areas as described in the First Schedule hereto.

- Waiau River—All waters from source to sea.
- Pourakino River—All waters from source to Jacobs River Estuary.
- Aparima River—All waters from source to Jacobs River Estuary.
- Oreti River—All waters from source to New River Estuary.
- Mataura River—All waters from source to Fortrose Estuary.
- Waihopai Stream—All waters from source to New River Estuary.
- Makarewa Stream—All waters from source to Oreti River.
- Titiroa Stream—All waters from source to Fortrose Estuary.
- Niagara (Waikawa) Stream—All waters from source to Waikawa Estuary.
- Tautuku Stream—All waters from source to Tautuku Estuary.
- Tahakopa Stream—All waters from source to Tahakopa Estuary.
- Waikiwi Stream—All waters from source to Oreti River.
- Waimahaka Stream—All waters from source to Titiroa Stream.
- Fortrose Estuary—All waters of Fortrose Estuary.
- Haldane Estuary—All waters of Haldane Estuary.
- Waikawa Estuary—All waters of Waikawa Estuary.
- Waituna Lagoon—All waters of Waituna Lagoon.
SECOND SCHEDULE

The Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act 1953—Proposed Release of Deposits
The Sawmillers’ Mutual Accident Insurance Coy. has given notice to the Public Trustee that it has ceased to carry on in New Zealand the class of insurance business designated as Class 2 in the First Schedule to the above-mentioned Act and that it proposes to withdraw pursuant to section 19 of such Act the deposit which has been made by it with the Public Trustee.
The Public Trustee therefore gives notice pursuant to section 19 (3) of the above-mentioned Act that being satisfied that all liabilities of the said company in New Zealand in respect of such insurance business have been fully paid or provided for the purposes to release to the company on or after the 24th day of December 1981 the deposit made with him by the company.
Any objections to the release of the deposit should be lodged with the Public Trustee at the Public Trust Office, Lambton Quay, Wellington 1, on or before the 25th day of December 1981.

Classification of Reserve
Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby declares the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, to be classified as a reserve for recreation purposes subject to the provisions of the said Act.
