NAFTA: Schedule A Access—Third Review List

A list of Schedule A goods subject to import licensing control was published in the New Zealand Gazette of 23 October 1980 seeking comments on the proposal to make these goods licence on demand (LOD) when of Australian origin.

Following consideration of representations received, LOD status will apply to the Schedule A products listed below from 1 October 1981. Licences on demand will be issued against firm orders for these goods when of Australian origin, subject to the proviso that the pattern of imports will be monitored and the access position could be subject to adjustment if the level of imports resulted in serious harm to the New Zealand manufacturers.

Dated at Wellington this 8th day of September 1981.

L. R. ADAMS-SCHNEIDER, Minister of Trade and Industry.
