Declaring Land Taken for Railway Purposes at Mangaweka
PURSUANT to section 45 of the Government Railways Act 1949 and section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for railway purposes, from and after the 14th day of September 1981.

ALL that piece of land described as follows:

Declaration That Private Land Shall be Protected Private Land
PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that the private land, described in the Schedule hereto, shall be protected private land for scenic purposes, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised
PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation over that part of the reserve for recreation purposes, described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Tauranga City Council in such manner, at such price and on such terms and conditions as the council shall determine, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the Council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the Council or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

Fees Payable for Veterinary Inspection, Testing, and Certification of Livestock for Export (Notice No. 2665, Ag. 1547)
It is hereby notified for public information that on and after the 1st day of November 1981, there shall be payable on the veterinary inspection, testing, and certification of the several classes of stock, poultry, fish, etc., mentioned in the Schedule hereto, the respective fees as set out in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE
(a) For all types of animals, including ova and semen donors, but excluding domestic pets, fish and crayfish:
(i) A charge of $17.70 per hour for time spent by veterinary officers employed by or on contract to the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in inspection, testing, and certification of stock for export;
(ii) A charge of $10 per hour for time spent by livestock officers employed by or on contract to the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in inspection, testing and certification of stock for export;
(iii) A charge of 24c per km from headquarters to point of examination and return for inspecting officers of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
Charges in (i) and (iii) are made for all inspections except for reinspection at the port of embarkation.
(iv) A charge of $7.80 per animal per visit for laboratory testing, including screening tests undertaken by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries;
(v) A charge of $11 for every original certificate issued; and
(vi) A charge of $1 per copy of every copy after the fourth for each certificate issued.
(b) For all domestic pets the following fees shall be payable in respect of certification for export:
For one animal: $16.
For each additional animal the property of the same owner and examined at the same time: $5.
(c) Fish and crayfish:
(i) For each original consignment covering whole consignment: $24.
(ii) When separate certificates are required for each package, cask, or parcel included in any one consignment, a fee of $2.50 shall be payable for each 10 or portion of 10 such certificates.
(d) Animal for the purpose of this notice is defined as inclusive of all types of livestock, including horses, cattle, swine, sheep, deer, goats, rabbits, poultry and other birds and circus and other groups of performing animals including those in (a).

Authorisation of Erection of Experimental Traffic Signs Overriding Traffic Signals
PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 127A of the Traffic Regulations 1976* the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
-
The erection and maintenance for experimental purposes of the traffic signs described in the First Schedule to this notice, at the locations described in the Second Schedule to this notice is hereby authorised upon the terms and subject to the conditions hereinafter appearing.

Any driver approaching an intersection controlled by traffic signals on a roadway at which a traffic sign authorised by this notice has been erected may make a left turn while the traffic signals controlling traffic on that roadway display a full red light provided that that driver first stops and then gives way to all other traffic and pedestrians.

This notice shall expire two years after the date of this notice.
FIRST SCHEDULE
The traffic signs authorised to be erected by this notice shall read “Left Turn on Red after Stop and Give Way”. They shall be at least 850 mm high and 450 mm wide and be attached to the primary traffic signals on the left of the approach lanes to the intersection.
There may be erected additional information signs, for pedestrians at the intersection reading “left turn on red operating” and for motorists approaching the intersection reading “traffic research”.
