Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Relinquishments, Cancellations, Transfers, Resignations and Retirements of Officers of the New Zealand Cadet Forces

PURSUANT to section 59 of the Defence Act 1971, the Minister of Defence hereby approves the following appointments, promotions, extensions, relinquishments, cancellations, transfers, resignations and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Cadet Forces:

SEA CADET CORPS

Appointments

Lieutenant D. C. Ruxton is appointed temporary Lieutenant Commander with effect from 1 May 1981.

Sub Lieutenant W. G. Bustard is appointed Unit Commander T. S. Chatham, with effect from 8 May 1981.

Lance Munroe is appointed to a cadet commission in the rank of Ensign on probation with effect from 18 April 1981, seniority 1 March 1981.

Ian Warren Ballinger is appointed to a cadet commission in the rank of Ensign on probation with effect from 3 June 1981, seniority 21 January 1981.

Warren Lewis Prescott is appointed to a cadet commission in the rank of Ensign on probation with effect from 30 June 1981, seniority 26 May 1981.

Barrie Gadfield Rowc is appointed to a cadet commission in the rank of Ensign on probation with effect from 14 July 1981, seniority 6 June 1981.

Promotions

The following officer is promoted to the rank and with seniority from the date shown:

Ensign P. J. Shannon, Sub Lieutenant, 13 July 1981.

Extensions

The following officers have been granted an extention to their cadet commissions until dates shown:

Terminations

The following officers' cadet commission is terminated with effect from the date shown:

The following officers commissions have been terminated at the completion of their current extensions with effect from dates shown below:

Relinquishment

Lieutenant Commander Colin Hazelwood relinquishes his command as Unit Commander T. S. Chatham with effect from 7 May 1981.

Transfer to/from Superlist

Sub Lieutenant A. G. Dawe is transferred to the Supernumary List for a further 6 months with effect from 20 June 1981.

Transfers

The following officers are transferred to T. S. Gambia with effect from the dates shown:

Attachment

Sub Lieutenant T. R. Jones, is attached from T.S. Taupo to T.S. Cornwall for a period of 6 months with effect from 19 June 1981.
