Declaring a Leasehold Interest in Land Taken for Railway Purposes at Wanganui

PURSUANT to section 45 of the Government Railways Act 1949 and section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, a leasehold interest in the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for railway purposes, from and after the 31st day of August 1981.

Notice Constituting Defence Area as Waiouru Defence Rural Fire District

1. The following notice may be cited as the Waiouru Defence Rural Fire District Notice.

2. Pursuant to section 4 (2) of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, notice is hereby given by the Minister of Forests as follows:

(1) The area sufficiently described in the Schedule to this notice, being a Defence Area within the meaning of the Defence Act 1971, and not included in a fire district within the meaning of the Fire Service Act 1975, is at the request of the Minister of Defence hereby constituted and declared to be a rural fire district, which shall be known as the Waiouru Defence Rural Fire District.

(2) This notice shall come into effect on the 21st day of August 1981.

3. It is hereby notified that under the said section 4 (2), the Minister of Defence is ex officio the Fire Authority for the Waiouru Defence Rural Fire District constituted by the foregoing notice.

SCHEDULE
The area comprising the Waiouru Army Training Area and Waiouru Military Camp (including all buildings and their environs, all parade grounds, and all field exercise grounds), as shown on plan T20/1, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington.

The Community Centre (Taupiri Community Centre District) Levies Notice 1981

PURSUANT to section 610 (1) of the Local Government Act 1974, the Minister of Local Government hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Community Centres (Taupiri Community Centre) Levies Notice 1981.

2. Within the area of the Taupiri Valley Community Centre, the Waikato County Council is hereby authorised to levy a uniform annual fee, not exceeding $15, to be paid by the occupier of each dwelling unit within the community centre district.

Amending Determinations by the Minister of Customs Under Section 121 of the Customs Act 1966

PURSUANT to section 121 of the Customs Act 1966, the Minister of Customs hereby amends, in the manner set out in the Schedule hereto, the determinations made under the said section on the 24th day of October 1975, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 13th day of November 1975 at pages 2546, 2547 and 2548 and varied by notices in the New Zealand Gazette on the 1st day of April 1976, at p. 710, on the 17th day of March 1977, at p. 632, on the 15th day of June 1978, at p. 1667, on the 7th day of June 1979, at p. 1759, and on the 2nd day of April 1980, at p. 988.

SCHEDULE
PART II of the determinations is amended at paragraph 5 (a) by adding the words “Melt Sheet” and “Seat belts”.

This variation to the aforesaid determination will take effect on the 1st day of September 1981.
