Establishment of Institution
PURSUANT to section 69 of the Child and Young Persons Act 1974, the Minister of Social Welfare hereby notifies that the premises situated as listed in the Schedule below are established as an institution within the meaning of the said Act and shall be known by the name shown in the Schedule.

National Development Act 1979
NOTICE
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that on 20 August 1980, in accordance with the National Development Act 1979, I referred the application made by Petralgas Chemicals N.Z. Limited to construct:
(1) A methanol plant at Mamaku Road, Waitara; and
(2) Associated facilities being—
(a) A barge dock site hard standing area and an access road on the western bank of the Waitara river;
(b) Methanol storage tanks and associated pipelines and facilities at Port Taranaki, New Plymouth; and
(c) A pipeline and associated plant and equipment to convey methanol from the methanol plant to the methanol storage tanks;
to the Planning Tribunal for an inquiry, report, and recommendation on consents sought under the following Acts:
- Clean Air Act 1972;
- Harbours Act 1950;
- Local Government Act 1974;
- Petroleum Act 1937;
- Reserves Act 1977;
- Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941;
- Town and Country Planning Act 1977; and
- Water and Soil Conservation Act 1967.
Copies of the application are available from Divisional Officer, Tribunals Division, Second Floor, Databank House, 175 The Terrace, Wellington.
Copies are also available from the Tribunals Division Offices, Department of Justice, at Auckland and Christchurch, and the High Court at New Plymouth and Dunedin.

The Traffic (Piako County) Notice No. 1, 1980
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Piako County) Notice No. 1, 1980.
- The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
- The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.
- The Traffic (Piako County) Notice No. 1, 1972, dated the 7th day of August 1972†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, is hereby revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Piako County adjacent to Morrinsville Borough:
Tahuna-Waharoa Road: from the northern boundary of Morrinsville Borough to a point 160 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said road from the said boundary.
SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Piako County adjacent to Morrinsville Borough:
Scales Road: from the No. 26 State Highway (Hamilton-Kopu) to a point 550 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said road from the said State Highway.

Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 12) 1980
PURSUANT to regulation 17 of the Import Control Regulations 1973*, the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby gives notice as follows:
- (a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 12) 1980.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the 14th day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette. - Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the items in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.
- The exemption from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the classes set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, included in the exempting notice shown in the Second Schedule, is hereby withdrawn.
