PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that, sufficient agreements to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road, and shall vest in the Waimairi County Council, from and after the 21st day of August 1980.

Appointment of the Minister of Internal Affairs to Control and Manage a Reserve and Declaration that the said Reserve shall be Subject to the Provisions of the Wildlife Act 1953

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby appoints the Minister of Internal Affairs to control and manage the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a reserve for Government Purpose (wildlife management), and further, declares that the said reserve shall be subject to the provisions of the Wildlife Act 1953.

PURSUANT to section 5 (5) of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, the Minister of Fisheries advises that the Auckland Zoological Park has applied for a permit to import and hold six Californian sea lions for display purposes, and hereby calls for any submissions regarding this application to be made in writing within 28 days of publication of this notice.

Veterinary Surgeon Prohibited from Dealing in or Issuing Prescriptions for Controlled Drugs

PURSUANT to section 23 (1) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975, the Minister of Health, acting on the recommendation of the Veterinary Surgeons Board, hereby prohibits Leslie Graham With of Christchurch, Veterinary Surgeon, from dealing in or issuing prescriptions for the supply of Class A and Class B (Parts I, II and III) controlled drugs.
