Notice Relating to the Use of Insecticides (Notice No. 2428, Ag. 15/4/12)

THE USE OF INSECTICIDES IN SLAUGHTERING PLACES, MEAT-PACKING HOUSES, AND CANNERIES

PURSUANT to regulation 3 (2) of the Stock (Insecticides and Octogens) Regulations 1961*, notice is hereby given that the insecticides specified in the Schedule hereto are approved for use in slaughtering places, meat-packing houses, and canneries for the purposes of insecticides provided that they shall only be used as categorised in the Schedule hereto.

(a) Insecticides for use in any part of any premises in which meat or meat products are processed, packed, or stored, provided that no meat or meat products, except canned meat or canned meat products, are present at the time of application of the insecticide.

(b) Insecticides for use in any part of any slaughtering place, meat-packing house, or cannery, which is not used for the purpose of processing, packing, or storing meat or meat products or exposed materials that are at any time likely to come into contact with meat or meat products.

(c) Insecticides for use in any yard or other premises attached to a slaughtering place, meat-packing house, or cannery, provided that no stock is contained in such yard or premises at the time of application of the insecticides.

Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 15) 1980

PURSUANT to regulation 17 of the Import Control Regulations* the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby gives notice as follows:

1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 15) 1980.

   (b) This notice shall come into force on 7 August 1980.

2. Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff items in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.
