NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, and in the matter of the Local Government Act 1974.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council, a body corporated, duly constituted under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1974, proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts and of all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf to take the pieces of land, more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, for the general purposes of the public works referred to in the Schedule hereto the pieces of land so described being required for those public works; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said pieces of land so required to be taken, being a certain plan approved under the hand of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington under No. S.O. 28804, is deposited at the offices of the Lower Hutt City Council, Administration Building, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and is there available for inspection by all persons without fee during ordinary office hours. All the persons who are directly affected by the taking of the said pieces of land and who have any objection thereto (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation) should state their objection in writing and send it within fifty-four (54) days after the first publication of this notice to the Secretary, The Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, care of Tribunals Division, Private Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington.

And notice is hereby further given that if any objection is made as aforesaid, and unless the objector otherwise requires a public hearing of the objection, will be heard and each objector will be advised of the time and place of hearing.
