Hop Marketing Committee Election (No. 2410, Ag. 60546)

Pursuant to clause II of the Schedule to the Hop Marketing Regulations 1939, notice is hereby given that the roll of those persons qualified to vote for the election of five producers' representatives on the Hop Marketing Committee will be open for inspection during ordinary office hours at the following places, viz: Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Head Office, Wellington, and at Nelson; also at the following Post Offices, viz: Motueka, Upper Moutere, Wakefield, and Nelson.

The roll will be available for public inspection for a period of 7 days from 16 July 1980.

Nomination forms may be obtained on application to any of the above offices or from the returning officer, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Nelson.

Nominations must be in the hands of the returning officer not later than noon on 10 September 1980.

Notification of Management Plans

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, the Director-General of Lands hereby gives notice that the draft management plans for the Antipodes Islands Nature Reserve and the Bounty Islands Nature Reserve, are available for inspection at the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, Charles Fergusson Building, Bowen Street, Wellington.

Persons or organisations interested in making objections to or suggestions on the draft plans should forward a written submission to the Director-General before 3 September 1980.

Pursuant to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori Land Board hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Whangarei 1980, No. 20.

  2. The land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be subject to part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

The Road Classification (Waipa County) Notice No. 1, 1980

Pursuant to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulation 1974*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Waipa County) Notice No. 1, 1980.

  2. The Waipa County Council's proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.

  3. The notices dated the 21st day of September 1954†, and the 15th day of September 1969‡ which relates to the classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto are hereby revoked.

Waipa County

Roads Classified in Class One

Avalon Drive.

Golf Road/Montefiore Road.

Kihikihi-Waipapa Route: from the intersection of Whitmore Street with Lyons Street (No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton to Woodville via New Plymouth)) in Kihikihi to Karaka Road where it meets with the County Boundary.

Te Awamutu-Cambridge Road.

Te Rapa-Te Kowhai Road: from No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to Avalon Drive.

Roads Classified in Class Two

All other roads under the control of the Waipa County Council.

Approval of Red Flashing Lights on a Fire Appliance

NOTICE

Pursuant to subclause (8) of regulation 67 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves the fitting and use of one or more flashing or revolving red lights to the motor vehicle, owned by the Canterbury Frozen Meat Co. Ltd., Ashburton, which is equipped for attendance at fires, for use while on urgent fire brigade service in and around the Fairfield Freezing Works and village, located at Fairton.

Industries Development Commission Notice No. 1980/5, Inquiry Concerning the New Zealand Plastics Industry

  1. In its notice No. 1980/3, dated 5 May 1980, the Commission advised interested parties the timetable, order, and content of the public hearings to be held on the New Zealand plastics industry.

  2. The separate public hearings previously set down for:
    Sub-sector 14a (Kitchen, tableware, and household utensils), on 6 August 1980;
    Sub-sector 14b (Plumbingware other than specified in Sector 2), on 23 July 1980;
    Sub-sector 14c (Cabinetmakers' and builders' hardware), on 5 August 1980;
    Sub-sector 14d (Appliances and apparatus for use in the agricultural and horticultural industries), on 24 July 1980;
    Sub-sector 14e (other plastic articles of Chapter 39), on 12 August 1980
    have been cancelled.

  3. One public hearing dealing with the whole of Sector 14 will commence at 10.30 a.m. on Tuesday, 12 August 1980, and the final date for the receipt of formal submissions on that Sector will be 1 August 1980.
