A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 63b (1) of the Forests Act 1949 (as substituted by section 19 of the Forests Amendment Act 1976), I, The Right Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the State forest land described in the Schedule hereto as State forest park which shall hereby form part of the Tararua State Forest Park.

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 30th day of June 1980

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS

  1. The Gisborne Harbour Board (hereinafter called the “Board”), is the registered proprietor of an estate in fee simple in the land described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter called the “Land”).

  2. The Gisborne City Council (hereinafter called the “Council”), reclaimed 4640 square metres of the land on behalf of the Board.

  3. The Council did not receive approval in terms of sections 175 to 178 of the Harbours Act 1950.

Now acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, His Excellency the Governor-General acting pursuant to section 265 of the Harbours Act 1950, hereby validates the above-mentioned reclamation carried out by the Council on behalf of the Board for the purposes of the Harbours Act 1950.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land in the Gisborne Land District containing 4640 square metres, more or less, being part foreshore and part Lot 1, D.P. 2956, comprised in certificate of title 2D/1083 part, and certificate of title 3B/1312 part; as shown on plan M.D. 16012 (Scheme Plan GC1158).

Redefining the Limits of Kaipara Harbour

At the Government House at Wellington this 30th day of June 1980

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby redefines the harbour of Kaipara as being all that area of the tidal waters described in the Schedule hereto. So much of that warrant dated 20 November 1868* as relates to the defining of the limits of the Kaipara Harbour is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

ALL the tidal waters enclosed by the seaward arc of a circle of ten nautical miles radius from Poutu Point Lighthouse; as more particularly shown on plan M.D. 15990, and deposited in the office of the Secretary for Transport in Wellington.

PURSUANT to sections 41 (1) and 44 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby reappoints Michael Robert Johnston of Nelson, geologist, to be a member of the Nelson Catchment Board for 3 years, from and after the 8th day of July 1980.

Vesting of Reclaimed Land at Youngs Creek, Whangateau Harbour in the Rodney County Council

At the Government House at Wellington this 30th day of June 1980

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 175D of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby vests in the Rodney County Council, the land described in the Schedule hereto, which land was authorised for reclamation by Order in Council of 7 February 1977*, such land to be vested as a recreational reserve.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of reclaimed Crown land situated in Block XV, Pakiri Survey District, containing 2780 square metres, as more particularly shown marked “A” on plan M.D. 16005 (S.O. 54697), and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington.
