Closed Road Added to Adjacent Land Held for State Housing Purposes in Heathcote County

PURSUANT to subsection 5 of section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that the closed road described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby added to the adjacent land held for State housing purposes described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Agreement for Grant of Easement in Favour of Keith Reginald Best of Koputaroa and Joseph Alfred Best of Ohariu, Both Farmers, Over Land Situated in Block VI, Belmont Survey District, City of Wellington, held for a State Primary School, Assented to

WHEREAS by a deed dated the 18th day of September 1975 a water supply easement was acquired by Her Majesty the Queen for a State primary school over part Section 21, Ohariu District (situated in Block VI, Belmont Survey District).

And whereas Keith Reginald Best and Joseph Alfred Best, both farmers, of Ohariu, were entitled to compensation in respect of their interest in the said land.

And whereas the Minister of Works and Development agreed to grant the said Keith Reginald Best and Joseph Alfred Best a right of way over another portion of land held for the said State primary school in full satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid.

And whereas the said Keith Reginald Best and Joseph Alfred Best agreed to accept such right of way in full satisfaction of the said compensation; now therefore the Minister of Works and Development hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.
