CORRIGENDUM
Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Auckland Licensing Committee

THE notice with the above heading, published in the New Zealand Gazette, dated 22 May 1980, page 1503, is to read as follows.

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, John Fraser Robertson, Secretary for Justice, on 18 April 1980, made an order revoking its order made on 3 March 1980 in respect of licensed premises known as the Gables, Auckland, and further authorised variations of the usual hours of trading for the said premises as detailed hereunder.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the public, the hours for the opening and closing of the premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday and Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve) and on Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening, but during the period from 10 o’clock in the evening to 11 o’clock in the evening the said premises shall be open in respect only of those parts of the premises known as “The Lounge Bar” and “The Bottle Store”.

(c) On New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day, but during the period from 10 o’clock in the evening of New Year’s Eve to 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day, the said premises shall be open in respect only of those parts of the premises known as “The Lounge Bar” and “The Bottle Store”.

The Committee grants an exemption for the purpose of section 187 of the said Act in respect of the period from 10 o’clock in the evening of any Friday, Saturday, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve, until the said premises are required to be closed in accordance with this order.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, The Right Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for soil conservation and river control purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 3rd day of July 1980.
