A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, The Right Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road and shall vest in the Dannevirke Borough Council as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 7th day of February 1980.

Colonel Ralph Kenneth Grey Porter, O.B.E., is posted to the Retired List, with effect from 23 December 1979.
ROYAL REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY
Major Brian George Dilger is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List in the rank of Major, with effect from 19 December 1979.
Captain (temp. Major) R. J. Turner to be Major, with seniority and effect from 3 January 1980.
Captain N. C. Thornton, M.V.O., to be temp. Major, with effect from 17 December 1979.
THE CORPS OF ROYAL N.Z. ENGINEERS
2nd Lieutenant P. W. Howard is re-engaged to 20 April 1996.

Major J. D. Carson, M.B.E., L.T.C.L., is transferred to the Supernumerary List on reaching retiring age for rank, with effect from 25 November 1979.
Major John Richard Sherriff is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, in the rank of Major, with effect from 24 December 1979.
