Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations, and Retirements of Officers of the New Zealand Army

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General by his Deputy has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army.

REGULAR FORCE

ROYAL REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY

Lieutenant M. D. Beattie to be acting Captain, with effect from 19 May 1980.

ROYAL N.Z. ARMOURED CORPS

Captain and Quartermaster Roger Ballance is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, in the rank of Captain and Quartermaster, with effect from 3 June 1980.

ROYAL N.Z. INFANTRY REGIMENT

Lieutenant R. P. Barlin to be acting Captain, with effect from 22 May 1980, and temp. Captain, with effect from 3 June 1980.

Lieutenant D. W. Quirke to be acting Captain, with effect from 8 May 1980, and temp. Captain, with effect from 3 June 1980.

Lieutenant and Quartermaster W. C. Cooper is re-engaged to 24 May 1985.

Captain E. V. Wallace to be Major, with seniority and effect from 9 May 1980.

The seniority of Captain L. M. Hammond, DIP.N., is post-dated to 1 June 1978.

Captain Patricia Clancy Francesca Hunt resigns her commission, with effect from 24 May 1980.
