The Traffic (Strathallan County) Notice No. 1, 1980

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Strathallan County) Notice No. 1, 1980.

2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The Traffic (Geraldine County) Notice No. 1, 1970, dated 28th day of September 1970, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads formerly situated within Geraldine County at Winchester, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Strathallan County at Winchester:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from a point 40 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said State Highway from Erskine Street to a point 160 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said State Highway from Rise Road.

No. 72 State Highway (Woodend-Winchester): from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff), to a point 100 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the No. 72 State Highway (Woodend-Winchester) from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff).

Browning Street.
Erskine Street.
Lennox Street.
Madden Street.

Richard Street: from a point 80 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said street from Ronald Street to the western end of Richard Street.

Notice Respecting Proposed Alteration to Manawatu Drainage District

It is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General pursuant to section 3 of the Land Drainage Act 1908, praying that the boundaries of the Manawatu Drainage Board be altered by the inclusion of the areas described in the First, Second, and Third Schedules to this notice.

All persons affected who object to the proposed alteration are hereby called upon to lodge any objections thereto, in writing, with the Minister of Local Government, Parliament Buildings, Wellington, within 1 month after the date of first publication of this notice.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that land in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the south-western boundary, at Section 6, of Subdivision C, Manchester District (D.P. 43), with Taonui Road, and proceeding north-westerly along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Taonui Stream; thence generally south-westerly down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 15, Block XIV, Oroua Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary and its production to the north-western side of Durie Road; thence north-easterly and north-westerly up the north-western and south-western sides of Durie Road to the south-eastern side of Aorangi Road; thence south-westerly along that roadside to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 9, Block XIV, Oroua Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary to the left bank of the Oroua River; thence generally north-easterly along the left bank of that river to the south-western side of Reids Line East; thence south-easterly along that roadside to the north-western side of Taonui Road; thence south-westerly along that roadside to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 1521, Town of Bunnythorpe, situated in Block III, Kairanga Survey District, and proceeding south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of that section and its production to the south-western side of Ngaio Road; thence south-easterly along that roadside to the north-western side of Eggletons Road; thence south-westerly along that roadside to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 1452, Town of Bunnythorpe; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary, the north-eastern boundary of Section 1451, and its production across Bunnythorpe Road, and the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 1512 and 1511, Town of Bunnythorpe, to the north-western side of Cleverly Line; thence south-westerly along that roadside and its production to the south-western side of Roberts Line; thence north-westerly along that roadside to the north-western side of Newbury Line; thence north-easterly along that roadside to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 44021; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary to the point of commencement.

THIRD SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the south-eastern boundary of Section 30, Karere District, with Karere Road, and proceeding south-easterly along that roadside to that right bank of the Manawatu River; thence generally south-westerly down the right bank of that river to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 5704, to the south-eastern side of No. 56 State Highway; thence north-easterly along that roadside across a public road to the northernmost corner of Lot 3, D.P. 10926; thence south-easterly down the north-eastern boundary of that Lot, across a public road and the north-eastern boundary of Lot 7, D.P. 10926, to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 4165; thence generally north-easterly to and along that boundary and the southern and south-eastern boundaries of Lot 5, D.P. 4165, and the production of the last named boundary to the middle of Hamilton’s Line; thence northerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 9903; thence generally north-easterly to and along that boundary and the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 9903, across Jackytown Road, to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 43, 42, 41, and 96, Karere District, along a right line to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 32, 31, and 30, Karere District, to the point of commencement.

Electric Lines Licence Licensing the Estate of Ralph William Chesham to Erect and Use Electric Lines

PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Energy hereby licenses the estate of Ralph William Chesham subject to the following conditions, to lay, construct, put up, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS

1. This licence is subject to compliance with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and all regulations made in amendment of or in substitution for any of those regulations.

2. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (c) and (e) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, and shall be an alternating current system.

3. This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 2001.
