Maori Land Development Notice

Pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the
Maori Land Board hereby gives notice as follows:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development
    Notice Whangarei 1980, No. 14.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is
    hereby revoked by omitting all reference to the land described
    in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is
    hereby released from part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the
Maori Freehold Land described in the Schedule hereto is
hereby set apart as a Maori Reservation, for the purposes
of a Marae and Papakainga for the common use and benefit
of the Ngati Rereahu.

Approval of Sirens

Pursuant to subclause (1) of regulations 88 of the Traffic
Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby
approves, for the purposes of subclause (5) of regulation 9,
subclause (11) of regulation 21, subclause (3) of regulation
24, and subclause (3) and (4) of regulation 69 of the
said Regulations, sirens of the make and type described in
the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

Sirens manufactured by Smith and Wesson, bearing the model
markings "Magnum 400 B1".

Environmental Impact Report Notified—Huntly to Auckland
Natural Gas Pipeline

The Commission for the Environment has received an environ-
mental impact report on the Pukekohe to Westfield section, of
the Huntly to Auckland natural gas pipeline. The report
evaluates a number of routes for the pipeline, taking into
account environmental, social, and economic factors, and
recommends what it believes to be the most viable route.

You are invited to make representations in writing on the
environmental aspects of the proposal, and the report. Sub-
missions should reach the Commission at P.O. Box 10241,
Wellington (note new P.O. Box number), before 16 June.
Individual submissions may be reproduced in whole, or in
part, in the audit.

Copies of the report may be obtained either from the Plan
Records Office, Room 706, Ministry of Works and Develop-
ment, Bledisloe Building, Wellesley Street, Auckland, or by
writing to the Maui Pipeline Project Office, Box 12184,
Wellington North, or P.O. Box 6946, Auckland.

The report may be read at: the local libraries in Mount
Wellington, Papakura, Papatoetoe, Onehunga, and Pukekohe;
the central libraries in Whangarei, Auckland, Manakau, Well-
ington, Christchurch, and Dunedin; and at the seven
universities.

Environmental Impact Report Notified—CSR-Baigents Forest
Industries Proposed Thermomechanical Pulp Mill

The Commission for the Environment has received an
environmental impact report on a proposal to construct an
integrated thermomechanical pulp mill, and sawmill, in the
Nelson district.

Representations in writing on the environmental aspects of
the proposal are invited, and should be sent to the Com-
mission for the Environment, P.O. Box 10241, Wellington,
before 14th June 1980.
