Te Awamutu Electric Power District Representation Order 1980

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 28th day of April 1980

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

O R D E R

  1. (i) This order may be cited as the Te Awamutu Electric Power District Representation Order 1980.

(ii) This order shall come into force on the date of the next general election of members of local authorities.

  1. The constituent districts of the Te Awamutu Electric Power District, which are bracketed together in the first column of the Schedule hereto, shall be combined districts for the purposes of the said Act.

  2. The local authority of each constituent district distinguished in the first column of the said Schedule by the letter “(P)” shall be the principal local authority for the combined district of which it forms a part.

  3. The number of representatives of each constituent district or combined district of the Te Awamutu Electric Power District on the Te Awamutu Electric Power Board, shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto, opposite the name of that constituent district or combined district.

  4. The Order in Council dated the 5th day of September 1956, and published in the Gazette on the 13th day of the same month at page 1253, declaring separate constituent districts of the Te Awamutu Electric Power District; and the Order in Council dated the 1st day of September 1959, and published in the Gazette on the 3rd day of the same month at page 1232, apportioning representation on the Te Awamutu Electric Power Board, are hereby revoked.

THE RIGHT HON. R. D. MULDOON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Labour made after consultation with the unions, associations, and organisations referred to in section 5 of that Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

O R D E R

  1. Title—This order may be cited as the South Waikato Sheltered Workshop and Training Centre Incorporated Order 1980.

  2. Exemption—The South Waikato Sheltered Workshop and Training Centre Incorporated, an organisation approved by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, is hereby granted exemption, in respect of its sheltered workshop at Thompson Street, Tokoroa, from—

(a) All the provisions of every award and agreement that would otherwise apply to persons employed in that workshop; and

(b) The Annual Holidays Act 1944, the Minimum Wage Act 1945, and section 34 of the Factories Act 1946.

Exemption—The Auckland Sheltered Workshop and Training Centre (Incorporated), an organisation approved by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, is hereby granted exemption, in respect of its sheltered workshop at 8 Kirkbridge Road, Mangere, from—

(a) All the provisions of every award and agreement that would otherwise apply to persons employed in that workshop; and

(b) The Annual Holidays Act 1944, the Minimum Wage Act 1945, and section 34 of the Factories Act 1946.
