DECLARATION OF RESULT OF POLL

I hereby declare the result of the poll taken on Monday, 14 April 1980, to determine whether the electors of that part of the Styx Ward in the Chancery Rural Industrial area, being all that area in the Canterbury Land District, Waimairi County, bounded by a line commencing at a point being the south-west corner of Lot 1, D.P. 29806, and being a point on the boundary of the Christchurch Drainage Board District; thence northerly and easterly along the western and northern boundaries of the lot to the western side of the Main North Road; thence northerly along that roadside to the south-eastern corner of part Lot 1, D.P. 9621; thence westerly and northerly along the southern and western boundaries of that Lot to the southern side of Empire Road; thence across that road to the south western corner of certificate of title, Volume 248, folio 242; thence generally northerly and easterly along the western boundary and the northern boundary and its production to a point 10 metres west of the middle line of the South Island Main Trunk Railway; thence southerly along a line parallel to and 10 metres west of that middle line to its intersection with the middle line of Spencerville Road, being a point on the boundary of the Christchurch Drainage Board District, thence south-westerly, northerly, and westerly along that boundary to the point of commencement, with that area to become part of the Christchurch Drainage Board District.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely the legalisation of a road, and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.

And notice is hereby given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Tuapeka County Council at Peel Street, Lawrence, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this notice to the Registrar, Planning Tribunal, Private Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington, and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.
