Transfer of Unformed Legal Road in Block II, Ngatimaru Survey District, Stratford County

Pursuant to section 323 of the Local Government Act 1974 and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby declares that the land, described in the Schedule hereto, has been transferred to the Crown by the Stratford County Council, pursuant to the said section 323 and as from the date of this notice the said land shall be deemed to be Crown Land subject to the Land Act 1948.

5.1550 hectares, more or less, being Section 52, Block II, Ngatimaru Survey District, S.O. Plan 11300.

Revocation of Appointment to Control and Manage Reserves

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby revokes the appointment of the Pounawea Recreation Reserve Board to control and manage the reserves for recreation and scenic purposes described in the Schedule hereto.

The Road Classification (Cook County) Notice No. 1, 1980

Pursuant to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Cook County) Notice No. 1, 1980.

  2. The Cook County Council's proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.

  3. The notices dated the 26th day of May 1969†, the 17th day of October 1969‡, and the 7th day of May 1979§, which relate to the classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto, are hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

COOK COUNTY

Roads Classified in Class One

AWAPUNI ROAD: from Aerodrome Road to No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne).

BELLS ROAD: from the south-western junction of the said road with the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) to the intersection of the said road with Bushmere Road.

BUSHMERE ROAD: from its junction with Bells Road to its junction with Farmers Road.

FARMERS ROAD.

MCDONALDS ROAD: from Awapuni Road to a point 850 metres measured south-easterly, generally, along McDonalds Road from Awapuni Road.

SALEYARDS ROAD.

Roads Classified in Class Two

All other roads under the control of the Cook County Council.

Approval to Operate Certain Left-hand Drive Motor Vehicles

NOTICE

Pursuant to subclause (1) of regulation 90 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts from the requirements of Regulation 70 (1) of the said regulations, those vehicles specified in the Schedule hereto when fitted with a steering column to the left of the longitudinal centre line of the body of the vehicle.
