Class: South Island Game Season Licence.
Fee: Twelve dollars ($12.00).
Conditions: A South Island Game Season Licence shall enable the holder to hunt or kill game in all acclimatisation districts of the South Island. The holder of the licence shall be subject to the conditions and daily possession limits of the acclimatisation district in which the hunting or killing of game takes place.

Class: Junior North Island Game Season Licence.
Fee: Seven dollars and twenty-five cents ($7.25).
Conditions: Junior North Island Game Season Licences may be issued to persons up to 16 years of age or pupils attending school full time. The licence shall enable the holder to hunt or kill game within the district of issue only subject to the conditions and daily possession limits operating within that district.

Class: Junior South Island Game Season Licence.
Fee: Three dollars ($3.00).
Conditions: Junior South Island Game Season Licences may be issued to persons up to 16 years of age and shall enable the holder to hunt or kill game in all acclimatisation districts of the South Island. The holder of the licence shall be subject to the conditions and daily possession limits of the acclimatisation district in which the hunting or killing of game takes place.

The provisions of the Arms Act 1958 apply with respect to firearms used in accordance with the licence.

These provisions will come into force on the 10th day of April 1980.

The notices published in the New Zealand Gazette, 30 March 1978, No. 23, p. 729—Game Season Licences and Licence Fees—and the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 1 March 1979, No. 16, p. 459—Junior Game Licence and Licence Fees—are hereby revoked.

Logging and Forest Industry Training Board Notice 1980

PURSUANT to section 15A of the Vocational Training Council Act 1968, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Logging and Forest Industry Training Board Notice 1980.

  2. (1) There shall be an Industry Training Board for the logging and forest industries which shall be known as the Logging and Forest Industry Training Board and shall comprise the following members:

(a) Two members appointed by the New Zealand Forest Owners’ Association Incorporated;

(b) One member appointed by the New Zealand Loggers Association;

(c) One member appointed by the Director-General of Forests;

(d) One member appointed by the New Zealand Forestry Council;

(e) One member appointed by the New Zealand Timber Industry Employees’ Industrial Union of Workers;

(f) One member appointed by the New Zealand Workers’ Union;

(g) One member appointed by the Director-General of Education;

(h) One member appointed by the Secretary of Labour;

(i) One member appointed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Vocational Training Council.

(2) In addition to the members specified in subclause (1) of this clause, the Board may co-opt not more than two additional members.

  1. (1) Subject to the provision of this clause an appointed member shall hold office for a period of 3 years, but may from time to time be reappointed.

(2) Any co-opted member shall hold office during the pleasure of the Board for a period not exceeding 3 years, but may if eligible be reappointed.

(3) If any member dies or resigns his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Board or the Chairman or the Secretary thereof, or is absent without leave from the meetings of the Board for four consecutive meetings, or whilst holding office becomes for any reason ineligible to remain a member, the casual vacancy so created shall be filled as soon as practicable thereafter by the appointment of a member in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed. The member appointed to fill the vacancy shall hold office for the residue of the term of the replaced member.

(4) Unless he sooner vacates his office every appointed member of the Board shall continue in office until his successor comes into office.

(5) The powers of the Board shall not be affected by any vacancy in the membership thereof.

  1. (1) Deputy members may be appointed, in the same manner as appointed members, to be the deputy of a member and act in the event of the absence of the member from any meeting of the Board.

(2) While any person is acting pursuant to subclause (1) of this clause he shall be deemed to be a full member of the Board. The fact that any person so acts shall be sufficient evidence of his authority to do so.

Extending the Duration of Licence Authorising the Taupo Borough Council to Use Electric Lines Within the Taupo Borough Council Area of Supply

PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Energy hereby amends the Taupo Borough Council Electric Lines Licence 1979* by extending the duration of the said licence until the 1st day of October 1980.

The Alcoholic Liquor Advisory Notice 1980

PURSUANT to section 27 (1) of the Alcoholic Liquor Advisory Council Act 1976, the Minister of Justice hereby gives the following notice:

  1. This notice may be cited as the Alcoholic Liquor Advisory Council Levy Notice 1980.

  2. The rates of levy payable in accordance with the year ending with 31 March 1981 shall be as follows:

Beer ........................ 0.07c per litre.
Spirit ...................... 1.45c per proof litre.
Fortified Wine .............. 0.46c per litre.
Unfortified Wine ............ 0.28c per litre.

New Zealand – Australia Free Trade Agreement

PURSUANT to Article 3 of the New Zealand – Australia Free Trade Agreement Act 1965, the products in the following list will be added to Schedule A of the Agreement from 1 January 1980. Duties, where applicable, on these products in both Australia and New Zealand will be reduced and eliminated in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of the Agreement.
