Exemption of Certain Motor Cycles from the Requirements to be Fitted with Direction Indicator Lamps

Pursuant to subclause (2) of regulation 90 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts vehicles of the type specified in the Schedule hereto from the requirements of regulation 63 of the said regulations.

SCHEDULE

  1. Any motor cycle being used by a farmer in agricultural operations.
  2. Any motor cycle being used, for the time being, in a motor cycle competition organised by any club affiliated to the New Zealand Auto Cycle Union.
  3. Any motor cycle classified as class A or B for the purposes of section 188 of the Transport Act.

Declaration of Vehicle With Motor Cycle Controls to be a Motor Cycle

Pursuant to section 2 of the Transport Act 1962, the Secretary for Transport hereby declares that the three-wheeled vehicle having motor cycle controls and described in the Schedule hereto, is a motor cycle for the purposes of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

The vehicle known as the Honda ATC 110.

Fixing a Levy on Fish (No. 2339, Ag. 9/2/1/6)

Pursuant to the New Zealand Fishing Industry Board Act 1976 and regulation 5 (1) (a) of the Fish Levy Regulations 1976 as amended by regulation 3 of the Fish Levy Regulations 1976, Amendment No. 1, notice is hereby given by the New Zealand Fishing Industry Board that:

(a) From and after the 1st day of April 1980 every whole-saler shall pay to the Board a fish levy on all fish except rock lobster taken or purchased by him (otherwise than from another wholesaler) at a rate of 0.9 percent of the primary price of those fish, and

(b) From and after the 1st day of April 1980 every whole-saler shall pay to the Board a fish levy on rock lobster taken or purchased by him (otherwise than from another whole-saler) at a rate of 0.8 percent of the primary price of those rock lobster.

(c) Notice published in New Zealand Gazette, 24 February 1977, No. 19, p. 408, is consequently revoked.

Expressions used in this notice have the same meanings as in the Fish Levy Regulations 1976.

Notice Declaring Lands to be Infected Areas Under Potato Cyst Nematode Regulations 1974 (No. 2333, Ag. 61422)

Pursuant to regulation 3 (1) of the Potato Cyst Nematode Regulations 1974, notice is hereby given that the following lands are declared to be infected areas:

(a) The land on which potato cyst nematode has been foundβ€”
(i) an area of 1012 square metres, more or less, situated north-east of and fronted by Bernera Street, at Karitane, in the town of Waikouaiti, being Section 13, Block XIII, on the public map of said town. Certificate of title 186/37 (Otago Registry).

Notice Declaring Burdock a Class B Noxious Plant in Otago (Notice No. 2335, Ag. 12/10/10)

  1. Pursuant to section 19 of the Noxious Plants Act 1978, the Noxious Plants Council hereby declares burdock (Arctium spp.) to be a Class B noxious plant in those parts of New Zealand lying within the boundaries of Silverpeaks and Tuapeka District Noxious Plants Authorities.

  2. This notice shall come into effect on the day after the date of notification in the Gazette.

Notice Declaring Grecian Thistle a Class B Noxious Plant in Canterbury (Notice No. 2338, Ag. 12/10/10)

  1. Pursuant to section 19 of the Noxious Plants Act 1978, the Noxious Plants Council hereby declares Grecian thistle (Chamaepeuce afra) to be a Class B noxious plant in those parts of New Zealand lying within the boundaries of Amuri and Hurunui District Noxious Plants Authorities.

  2. This notice shall come into effect on the day after the date of notification in the Gazette.
