included was the district of a special purpose authority and the areas from which it was formed were constituent districts.

  1. Vesting of Land Formerly Vested in the Corporation of the District of Southland County—The Corporation of the district of Winton Borough shall, in respect of the areas described in the Schedule to this order, have vested in it, subject to all existing encumbrances, all land situated in those areas that were previously vested in the Corporation of the District of Southland County.

  2. Mayor and Principal Officer—The mayor and principal officer of the Winton Borough Council shall exercise the duties, powers, and functions of the chairman and principal officer of the Southland County Council in respect of the areas described in the Schedule to this order.

  3. Creditors—Subject to section 37F of the Local Government Act 1974, the rights or interests of creditors of any districts affected by the order shall not be affected.

  4. Rating—The system of rating in the areas described in the Schedule to this order shall continue to be the land value system.

SCHEDULE

FIRSTLY, all that area containing 4.38 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Lot 2, D.P. 4232, being a point on the boundary between Southland County and Winton Borough as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1968, pages 383 and 384; thence proceeding westerly along the southern side of Welsh Road to the north-western corner of Lot 16, D.P. 6917; thence northerly along the western boundaries of Welsh Road and Section 7, Block I, Town of East Winton to the point of commencement.

Secondly, all that area containing 4.61 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Lot 30, Block I, D.P. 1353, being a point on the boundary between Southland County and Winton Borough as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1968, pages 383 and 384, and proceeding easterly along the northern boundary of Dejoux Road and the production of that boundary to a point in line with the north-western side of No. 6 State Highway; thence south-westerly to and along the north-western side of No. 6 State Highway for 70.41 metres; thence westerly along a right line parallel to and 50.29 metres from the South side of Dejoux Road, to the eastern boundary of part Section 2, Block VI, Winton Hundred; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of the said section to the point of commencement.

The Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District Order 1980

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 43 (4) of the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, the Auckland Regional Authority is entitled to exercise all the powers, authorities, and discretions vested in the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960:

And whereas the said Auckland Regional Authority has petitioned the Governor-General, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

O R D E R

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District Order 1980. (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1980.

  2. Inner Area Extended—The boundaries of the inner area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District are hereby altered so as to include the land described in the First and Second Schedules to this order.

  3. Determination of Financial Obligations—The financial obligations and assessment under the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960 of the Manukau City Council, with respect to the land described in the First Schedule to this order and of the Waitemata City Council with respect to the land described in the Second Schedule to this order, shall be determined on and from the 1st day of April 1980.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, City of Manukau, bounded by a line, commencing at a point on the eastern boundary of that land shown on D.P. 70081, situated in Block VII, Otahuhu Survey District, and proceeding easterly along the production of the northern boundary of the land on D.P. 70081 to a point in line with the easternmost boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 73796; thence southerly along a right line to and along the said easternmost boundary, and its production to a point in line with the southernmost boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 73796; thence westerly along a right line to the southernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 73796; thence northerly along a right line to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, City of Waitamata, bounded by a line commencing at the north-westernmost corner of Lot 6, D.P. 16793, in Block VII, Titirangi Survey District, and proceeding north-westerly, along a right line across South Titirangi Road to the north-easternmost corner of Lot 6, D.P. 23754; thence westerly generally along the northern and western boundaries of the said lot and the south-western side of Lot 19, D.P. 23754, to its junction with Huia Road; thence westerly generally along a right line across Huia Road to the southernmost corner of Lot 4, D.P. 25369, and along the south-western boundary of the aforesaid lot to the northernmost corner of Lot 5, D.P. 25369; thence southerly, westerly, then northerly along the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of Lot 3, D.P. 54666, to the Waitakere Scenic Drive; thence north easterly generally along a right line across the Waitakere Scenic Drive to the southernmost corner of Lot 3, D.P. 25147, and along the western side of that road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Allotment 676, Waikomiti Parish; thence easterly along the boundary of the inner area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1973, p. 474, and easterly, then southerly along the boundary of the inner area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1966, p. 150, to the point of commencement.

  2. The area described in the Schedule to this order is hereby included in the district of the Thames Valley Drainage Board.
