Land Taken for River Protection Purposes in the City of Timaru

KEITH HOLYOAKE, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, The Right Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for river protection purposes and shall vest in the South Canterbury Catchment Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 20th day of March 1980.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL those pieces of land situated in the City of Timaru described as follows:

1200 Part Rural Section 7457; marked “C” on plan.
300 Part Rural Section 7457; marked “D” on plan.
7200 Part Rural Section 7457; marked “E” on plan.

As shown on plan S.O. 14128, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch, and thereon marked as above-mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand this 5th day of March 1980.

Appointment of Judge of the Arbitration Court

His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to sign a Commission, made pursuant to section 37 of the Industrial Relations Act 1973 (as substituted by section 3 of the Industrial Relations Amendment Act 1977) and taking effect on 1 April 1980, appointing

Derek Sydney Castle of Wellington, Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand,

to be a Judge of the Arbitration Court.

PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act, the Minister of Energy hereby appoints

PURSUANT to section 7 (1) of the Maori Community Development Act 1962 as substituted by section 14 of the Maori Purposes Act 1975, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby appoints for a term of 3 years, the persons named in the Schedule hereto, to be Maori wardens for the area of the Maori association set opposite the name of each such person in the second column of the Schedule hereto.
