Grey, shoveler (or spoonbill), and mallard duck 3 May to 15 June 1980 incl.
Paradise duck (excluding the counties of Whakatane and Rotorua) 3 May to 15 June 1980 incl.
Pukeko 3 May to 15 June 1980 incl.
Pukeko (Taumarunui and Waimarino Counties only) 3 May to 29 June 1980 incl.
Black swan 3 May to 15 June 1980 incl.
California and brown quail and cock pheasant 3 May to 27 July 1980 incl.

Daily Bag Limits
Grey duck, 15.
Shoveler (or spoonbill), 15.
Mallard duck, 15.
Paradise duck, 2.
Grey, shoveler (or spoonbill), mallard, and paradise duck, 15 in all.

Shooting hours: 6.15 a.m. to 6.15 p.m.
Decoy limit: No limit.

Special Condition

  1. With the exception of freehold waters it shall be an offence to hunt or kill game from unmoored boats during the opening weekend only, being Saturday, 3 May 1980, and Sunday, 4 May 1980.
