Notice of Intention to Take Land in Amuri County for the Purposes of the Forests Act 1949

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for the purposes of the Forests Act 1949 the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land to be added to the Hanmer State Forest Park; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post Office at Hanmer Springs and is there open for inspection; that all persons directly affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice to the Planning Tribunal at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

ALL that piece of land containing 8.0937 hectares, situated in Block III, Tekoa Survey District, being Section 93, Square 186. All certificate of title 11/298. As shown on plan 6/743/2/3604/1 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works and Development at Wellington.

The said piece of land is situated adjacent to an unformed legal road 15 kilometers west of Hanmer Springs township.

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, the Minister of Works and Development hereby proclaims as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto, which land shall vest in the Waitotara County Council, and further proclaims as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, and declares that the closed road shall be dealt with as Crown land under the Land Act 1948.
