members of the Board. At least 14 clear days notice in writing must be given of the meeting called to consider such a resolution. Such notice shall state the nature of the matter to be considered.

  1. Clause 10A be added as follows:

10A. Reference in any part of this Act to “a majority of at least 75 percent of the members of the Board” shall be deemed to mean a majority of at least 75 percent of the total members of the Board whether present personally or by proxy at the meeting concerned or not.

  1. The following clauses be added:

  2. Votes may be given on any matter by members of the Board either personally or by proxy.

  3. The instrument appointing a proxy shall be in writing under the hand of the appointer or of his attorney duly authorised in writing. Only another member of the Board can be a proxy.

At the same time the person in whose favour the proxy has been given shall affirm to the Chairman that he has not received any notice of revocation of the proxy by death, insanity or otherwise.

  1. An instrument appointing a proxy shall be in the following form or a form as near thereto as circumstances admit:

  1. Where it is desired to afford members an opportunity of voting for or against a resolution the instrument appointing a proxy shall be in the following form or a form as near thereto as circumstances admit:

  1. A vote given in accordance with the terms of an instrument of proxy shall be valid notwithstanding the previous death or insanity of the principal or revocation of the proxy of the power of attorney under which the proxy was executed if no intimation in writing of such death, insanity, or revocation as aforesaid has been received by the Board before the commencement of the meeting or adjourned meeting at which the proxy is used.

(c) This notice shall come into operation on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.

MacIntyre, Minister of Agriculture, on 21 March 1979, to amend certain provisions of the Second Schedule to the Auckland Agricultural, Pastoral and Industrial Shows Board Act 1972, in the manner permitted by section 9 of that Act. The notice has been re-published in this issue as a matter of convenience only and does not affect the amendments to the said Schedule which came into operation

on 24 August 1980, following publication of the amendments in the New Zealand Gazette, on 23 August 1979, No. 79, at pages 2518 and 2519. The publication on that date contained errors and accordingly a corrigenda was published in the New Zealand Gazette on 15 November 1979, No. 104, at page 3295, to correct the mistakes. This publication was deemed necessary to set out the complete text of the approved notice in one place.

The Traffic (Waikato County) Notice No. 2, 1980

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waikato County) Notice No. 2, 1980.

The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED with Waikato County at Komakorau.

Henry Road: from a point 20 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said road from the eastern abutment of the Komakorau Stream bridge to a point 380 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said road from the western abutment of the said bridge.

Dated at Wellington this 28th day of November 1980.

The Traffic (Strathallan County) Notice No. 3, 1980

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Strathallan County) Notice No. 3, 1980.

The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

The Traffic (Strathallan County) Notice No. 1, 1979, dated the 20th day of November 1979†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 is hereby revoked.

SITUATED within Strathallan County at Pleasant Point:

No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton via Alexandra): from a point 80 metres measured south-easterly, generally, along the said State highway from Munro Street, to a point 60 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Tengawai Road.
