To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public, the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:
(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 10 o'clock in the evening.

Approval of Safety Glass and Conditions Relating Thereto
Pursuant to regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves, for the purpose of regulation 73 of the said regulations, safety glass of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.
Provided that no overlay or treatment which reflects light from an outside source shall be applied to the safety glass specified in the Schedule hereto other than along the top edge of the windscreen for the purpose of reducing sun glare.
This proviso does not apply to the fitting of rear window electrically heated demister units.

Notice of Approval of Bylaws
Pursuant to section 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Robin Paul Taylor, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby approve the Akaroa Harbour and Foreshore Bylaw 1968, Amendment No. 6, 1980, made by the Akaroa County Council and passed and adopted at meetings of the said Council held on the 25th day of July and the 26th day of September 1980 respectively.

Fire Service Act 1975—Contributions by Insurance Companies and Returns of Premium Income

In terms of section 51 of the above Act, it is hereby notified that the returns required by that section, showing the total gross amount of premiums received by or due to insurance companies or reinsurance companies during the year ended 31 December 1980 shall be sent to the New Zealand Fire Service Commission on or before 27 February 1981.

The attention of all persons, companies and associations, being owners of property in respect of which premiums are paid to a fund or to an insurance company not carrying on business in New Zealand, is drawn to sub-sections (2), (3), (4), and (5) of section 51 of the Act. The effect of these provisions is as follows:
(a) Every broker, agent, or person who arranges a contract of fire or motor comprehensive insurance (or reinsurance) over property in New Zealand with or on behalf of a company not operating in New Zealand is required to send in a return of premium income;
(b) Where an owner of property within any Fire District in New Zealand makes a payment in respect of that property to a fund for insurance purposes, the person in possession of the fund is deemed to be an insurance company and is required to send in a return of amounts paid into the fund;
(c) Where the owner of property within any Fire District in New Zealand insures that property against fire with a company not operating in New Zealand, that owner shall be liable for payment of the contribution in respect of the premiums paid, whether paid within or beyond New Zealand, and is required to send in a return giving details of premiums paid.
- All returns, which are to be certified by the auditor of the company concerned, are to be sent to the Secretary, New Zealand Fire Service Commission, P.O. Box 2133, Wellington, from whom copies of the appropriate return form may be obtained.

National Development Act 1979—Environmental Impact Audit
Notified Proposed Methanol Production Plant, Taranaki
The provisions of the National Development Act 1979 having been applied to a proposal by Petralgas Chemicals N.Z. Limited to construct and operate a 1200 tonnes per day Methanol production plant at Mamaku Road, Waitara, with certain ancillary works in northern Taranaki, and an Environmental Impact Report having been received and publicly notified, the Commissioner for the Environment hereby gives notice, under section 5 (4) of the National Development Act that he has completed his audit of the environmental implications of the proposal.
The Environmental Impact Audit and a supplementary volume containing public submissions made in respect of the Environmental Impact Report is available for inspection by the public at public libraries in the following places:

Christchurch, Manakau, Sockburn,
Dunedin, Napier, Stratford,
Eltham, Nelson, Takapuna,
Fendalton, New Plymouth, Tauranga,
Gisborne, Ohura, Te Atatu,

Copies of the Environmental Impact Audit may be purchased from the Administration Officer, Commission for the Environment, P.O. Box 10241, Wellington, at a cost of $5 per copy. Copies of the supplementary public submissions volume can be supplied on request to purchasers of the Audit.
